Peach Wedding by Braids
New track up by “Braids” with collaborator “Purity Ring”
I like the slightly heavier mix of “Peach Wedding” with its thicker sound
The Tide by Longbeard
(Source: longbeard1.bandcamp.com, via danceyrselfclean)
“Longbeard” has a new EP out titled “The Tide.”
Longbear’s Bon Iver-esq sound is lush and atmospheric, it’s pretty super.
Fall Creek Boys Choir by Bon Iver and James Blake
Cannot express how happy I am to hear about this collaboration. Dark and broody, Fall Creek Boys Choir is carefully dissonant in places yet, also includes sections which portray intense joy. <3 it
The Stars In His Head (Dark Lights Remix) by Colin Stetson
New History Warfare Volume 2: Judges by Colin Stetson is a crazy album.
Firstly it is almost entirely comprised of him playing saxophone, however, by apparently placing 20 microphones around his sax he has managed to create an amazing array of sounds. I don’t know much about saxophones but this album blows my mind about the capabilities of the instrument.
Secondly, there is the lead singer from my brightest diamond featuring on some tracks ++
catch up #4
= Go Tell Fire to the Mountain by Wu Lyf
pretty decent album, lots of filled out busy tracks partly due to the album being recorded in a church.
Swerve the Reaping of all that is Worthwhile (Noir Not Withstanding) by Shabazz Palaces
catch up #3
another amazing follow up album
I like the new direction of Bon Iver, but the album doesn’t quite manage to live up to its predecessor.
